Cooking and Wine at Home
Here we are again, talking about actually cooking at home!  Seems like it is becoming a weekly occurance which is an increase from zero home cooking only a few weeks ago.  Of course when we cook at home it usually includes a good bottle of wine from our inventory.

Australia
On this day we choose a bottle of McLaren Vale ‘Sorrento’ 2006 made with a Dry Grown Grenache from 40 year old vines in McLaren Vale, Australia.  McLaren Vale Family Vineyards has been making wine since 1968.

The Wine
For a fairly young wine it tasted great.  Filled with raspberry and grenadine flavors it finished with a nice bit of spice.  The finish was bit unexpected at first, but on the second taste it seemed smoother and added a unique finish to the wine.  We can’t remember where we purchased the bottle, but if we came across it again, would definitley purchase another!

P.S. We ended up cooking two completley different meals.
