Wine Tasting at Home
Hard to believe the last time we posted a ‘Wine Tasting at Home’ blog was on September 5th! It’s not like we haven’t been enjoying some great bottles that we purchased during our time in the Okanagan earlier this year. But, as you know, when we get busy, our 19th hole blog tends to suffer. In any event, here is a new Wine Tasting at Home blog post.

Privato Winery
Privato is part of the relatively new Thompson Valley Wine Region and is located in Kamloops, BC. Tara visited the winery with some friends, Jeff did not (there must have been some sort of sporting event on). Either way we got to do our own private wine tasting ‘at home’ in Victoria.

Privato Pinot Noir
One of the wines Tara purchased was the 2018 Privato Pinot Noir. The wine is aged in French Oak for 18 months, which we expected to usually produce a darker colour, not this wine. It was a very light burgundy and smelled great with notes of ripe berries. It was very smooth and we feel it could easily be paired with almost all foods or is also very drinkable on its own. A bit pricey for an at home Pinot Noir, but also it is a small batch wine, so at $27.99 we are happy to shop local and support local wineries when we are in their regions. We recommend you give this winery and wine a try if you have the chance.

We, Jeff and Tara Ciecko of CK Golf write two blogs, one is our 19th Hole Blog where we share personal experiences and the other an Industry Blog where we comment on general business and internet marketing best practices, sales strategies and give golf industry related opinions. We have recently started a Zoom call video series of Golf Industry Conversations. We have owned CK Golf  for 13 years and provide business services to the golf and other industries. As of July 31, 2016 our life and our business became ‘location independent’. Our 19th Hole Blog is about the places we visit and the things we do. If you have any questions or comments, or happen to be in the same location as us please reach out and contact us anytime.
