Mt. Boucherie Family Estate Winery
We’ve been to this winery more than a few times. You can view some of our past blogs about Mount Boucherie Winery here. Our main reason for visiting Mt. Boucherie is to reload our stock of Mount Boucherie Gamey Noir. It is Tara’s absolute favourite red wine, and I like that she can be a cheap date occasionally! You can read our first blog about it here. The Gamey is only $10 a bottle (if you buy a case) and $15 each individually. At that price can you blame us? On each trip we also purchase a few other varieties to see which we like.
Mt. Boucherie Ehrenfelser
I think it was 2014 when we visited the winery and acquired the 2012 Ehrenfelser. For some strange reason we didn’t open it until last week, which is very unlike us! The Ehrenfelser has a light yellowish color. It is a little on dry side for our tastes but had hints of citrus like lemon on the finish. It retails for $17 per bottle and they recommend pairing it with a onion tart, goat cheese or a green Thai curry. It’s not a patio sipping white wine in our opinion but it works with food.
While we did visit the winery again this year, for another case of Gamey Noir, we did not purchase the Ehrenfelser. We did find other favourites like the 2012 Pinot Noir. We’ll blog about that one when it gets opened.
We, Jeff & Tara Ciecko of CK Golf write two blogs, one is our 19th Hole Blog where we share personal experiences and the other a Biz Blog where we comment on general business and internet marketing best practices, golf course marketing and give golf industry related opinions. We have owned CK Golf for 8 years and provide marketing, social media and business services to the golf and other industries. Our 19th Hole Blog is about the places we visit and the things we do. When we say that we like or dislike something or have a good or bad experience this is our opinion and the truth as we see it, not something we have been paid for. If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact us anytime.
