Mission Hill Winery
Anthony Von Mandl is the proprietor of Mission Hill Family Estate Winery. He was born in Vancouver to European parents. After a European apprenticeship in the wine trade, Anthony returned to Canada where he realized that wine and food were his real passion. He became an importer and merchant of fine wines. He was absolutely convinced that given time and patience, his beloved Okanagan valley could produce sophisticated wines for an international audience and hence founded Mission Hill. He has now completed a six-year transformation of the original winery.

Five Vineyards
Five Vineyards wines are crafted from five distinct growing areas in the Okanagan Valley. They are brewed to the highest standards. The diverse microclimates and soils ensure outstanding quality and consistency with every vintage.

Mission Hill Five Vineyards Pinot Noir
The Mission Hill Five Vineyards Pinot Noir we tasted was a 2009 bottle that we purchased two summers ago on a trip through the Okanagan. It was a little darker in color than most Pinot’s we choose but but smelled of some great fruit flavours, strawberries being the most notable. The taste was also strong with red berry fruits, but had a hint of licorice and a nice moderate amount of spice at the finish. At $19.99 this is a good value wine that we would purchase again.
