Leoh Red Wine
We got a bottle of Leoh Red Wine from our monthly wine club in Hinton, Alberta. We had never heard of Leoh wine/ winery before. We opened this bottle on a Saturday night to give it a try, not sure what to expect. The wine is a blend, made up of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 10% Petite Syrah grapes. The label (pictured) looks a little awkward, like it was designed by a child? (But likely is a famous artist). The wine is made in Northern California, specifically the Sonoma region which we have visited before and tasted one of our favourite wines.

The Tasting
Leoh California Red was an average blend. At $21.99 per bottle there are many other options out there that we prefer and would be of a better value. For a blend it is an easy drinking red and pairs well with meat, although it has a fairly easy (light) taste. As always, it is always good to try new wines, but this isn’t one we would seek out in the future.
