Black Cloud Winery
Black Cloud Winery is one of favourite BC wineries. When we returned from location independent living in late May (without any wine in “inventory”) one of the first calls we made was to order some Black Cloud. We purchased six bottles (two of three different selections). With an order over $100 they ship for free to anywhere in Canada which makes it super easy to have it in your possession a few short days after your order is placed.
Black Cloud Cumulus Nimbus
The Cumulus Nimbus is made from the Pinot Noir grape (as are all Black Cloud wines). We had the 2014 and as you can see in the picture it is one of only 295 produced for that year. We have previously blogged about this when we had a 2013 bottle. You can read that here.
Tasting Cumulus Nimbus
Compared to the 2013 we found the 2014 to be a bit heavier with darker fruit flavours like Blackberries. There is still a nice hit of pepper in the finish and it is a very smooth easy drinking wine. It could easily be paired with salmon or chicken in our opinion. Overall, as usual, another one of our favourite Pinot Noir’s. At $35 this wine represents excellent value. Give it a try and order a couple of bottles.
We, Jeff and Tara Ciecko of CK Golf write two blogs, one is our 19th Hole Blog where we share personal experiences and the other an Industry Blog where we comment on general business and internet marketing best practices, sales strategies and give golf industry related opinions. We have owned CK Golf for 9 years and provide marketing, social media and business services to the golf and other industries. As of August 2016 our life and our business will be ‘location independent’. Our 19th Hole Blog is about the places we visit and the things we do. If you have any questions or comments, or happen to be in the same location as us please reach out and contact us anytime.
