Science World at Telus World of Science
Science World is located about 3 km from our apartment at the edge of False Creek. It is a striking building that you can not miss when walking or biking near it. We have been past it probably 100 times in the almost 9 years since living in downtown Vancouver but had never been inside – until now. The feature exhibit (until April 26th) was Red Bull Stratos. The exhibition includes the science and technology that made Felix Baumgartner’s 39,000-metre, record-breaking free-fall jump possible and includes the actual capsule and space suit Felix used.
Science World After Dark
After Dark is a series of evenings in which Science World is open to big kids only. There is an After Dark event held about every 3 months. We finally attended 2 weeks ago and had a blast! The events are a fundraiser for kids programs at Science World. There is wine and beer available for purchase from local vendors and a few center stage shows to watch throughout the evening which runs from 7pm to 1opm. Get there right at 7pm so you have enough time to play!
Big Kids
All of the regular activities and exhibits are open for big the big kids. You can test your grip strength, use a massive size fulcrum, challenge each other to wheelchair races, look inside a human brain or sit an do puzzles for hours. There was more to see and do than we could cover in three hours.

We, Jeff & Tara Ciecko of CK Golf write two blogs, one is our 19th Hole Blog where we share personal experiences and the other an Industry Blog where we comment on general business and internet marketing best practices, sales strategies and give golf industry related opinions. We have owned CK Golf for 9 years and provide marketing, social media and business services to the golf and other industries. Our 19th Hole Blog is about the places we visit and the things we do. When we say that we like or dislike something or have a good or bad experience this is our opinion and the truth as we see it, not something we have been paid for. If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact us anytime.
