2010 RBC Canadian Open
While the 2010 RBC Canadian Open will be held at St. George’s Golf & Country Club, nearby Islington Golf Club will host the practice range for the Championship. A new practice facility will be constructed using the first and second holes at Islington for the tournament to be conducted July 19 – 25, 2010. Islington is a private Stanley Thompson design located a mere two kilometres from St. George’s. Initially the RCGA was looking at a venue at Eglinton Flats, a community park located seven kilometers from the host course. Islington eases the burden on PGA Tour players traveling to and from the practice facility, in particular if a rain delay were to occur during the Championship.
