Northlands in North Vancouver
The clubhouse at Northlands Golf Course sits high above the Mt. Seymour Parkway in North Vancouver and provides stunning views of the golf course. This was going to be our second time playing the golf course, but first time this year. We started the day with a nice (and very inexpensive) breakfast on the patio over looking the golf course. The menu selection is very limited but the food and service were both good. The golf shop had a good selection of men’s wear both golf shirts and outerwear but there was very little for ladies. It appeared like it was going to be one the few sunny days we’ve had for golf in Vancouver this spring (with a few days to go before summer).
The Golf Course
The golf course itself was in pretty good shape overall, we did think the greens were on slow side and didn’t roll overly true. However, for the rain we have had the course was pretty dry and the tees, fairways and rough were generally pretty good. We are just not a fan of the layout which is very penal in our opinion, a lot like Furry Creek. Although being our second time playing it, it was a bit easier this time around as we knew a few of the places you can or cannot hit it.
Overall, for us Northlands is at most a once a year golf course.
