Canadian Open
We are currently working with a client to try a social media, specifically Twitter, campaign to see if we can bring Tiger Woods to Vancouver for the 2011 RBC Canadian Open. This year’s tournament will be held at the historic Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club from July 21st to 24th. This year marks the 102nd playing of our National Championship.
Bring Tiger Woods to Vancouver
As some of you know Tiger has recently reactivated his Twitter account, @TigerWoods. While he hasn’t been overly active, he has been making an effort to reconnect with his fans and engage on the social networking site. Greenacres Golf Course a public facility in Richmond which is owned by Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club, has launched a Twitter assault on Tiger trying to get him to commit to playing in the Canadian Open. You can follow Greenacres on Twitter @GreenacresGolfC. They are Tweeting the following message and asking others to do the same (copy and paste into Twitter):
