PGA of BC Trade Show
Last night in Penticton, BC, during the PGA of BC Trade Show the annual golf awards for 2010 were presented. While not at the show this year, the first time we missed it in 13 years, two great people and friends were honored with arguably the most prestigeous awards of the night.

Troy Peverley
Troy is Regional General Manager for the West Coast Golf Group and we have know him for most of the time we’ve been in BC. Yesterday Troy received the PGA of BC’s Head Professional of the Year award and we don’t think there is a better recipient. Troy has been on the PGA of BC Board of Directors for about 10 years (longer than Jeff was) serving positions from Board Member to Vice President (during Jeff’s term as President) to National Rep (a position he currently holds). One of his facilities, Hazelmere Golf Course, was also a three-time host of the Canadian Tour’s Greater Surrey Charity Classic. No one is more deserving of this award. Congratulations Troy!

Michael Mather
Michael is the General Manager of University Golf Club and has been a friend for a long time, recently our neighbor and now is a client in addition to the other things. Yesterday Michael received the National Golf Course Owners Association Four Seasons Golf Professional of the Year award for working for the betterment of the game 12 months a year. Michael has been the University Golf Club’s General Manager since 1997.  Prior to that he was the Head Golf Professional for three years. Well deserved MM – congratulations!
