Day 2 in Mexico has come and gone. We are finished our brief, but fun stay in Ixtapa and are onto our time share in Zihuatanejo for the next 12 days. While we had best of intentions of taking it easy the first two days, yesterday kind of got away from us as so happens in Mexico.

We planned and did have a great dinner last night at a place called Debroah’s Chilli Beans right on the main street which used to be a Lobster house that we had eaten at 5 years ago. In any event, it still served Lobster as a primary menu item. We enjoyed the one kilogram of Lobster for two for $300 pesos or about $30 Canadian. Although the rice and veggies were a nice feature, who cared when you had that much Lobster with warm butter…we even enjoyed a nice bottle of red which had been perfectly chilled in the fridge prior to service.

Of course, following dinner is where things went a bit sideways as we went for “one” night cap at Senor Frog’s. Of course you can’t go to Froggies for only one and after meeting some people from Victoria and Minnesota we made it to the hotel about 1:30 am.
