British Columbia Courses We Planned to Play in 09
Back on February 20, 2009 we posted a blog ‘British Columbia Golf Courses We Plan to play in 09′. It was a fairly ambitious list on our part, but at the time we believed it was very attainable, although a number of the courses on our list would require some significant travel. With the rain and cool temperatures we are currently experiencing in Vancouver, we felt this was an appropriate time to provide an update on how we did with our list.
You can read the previous post from February below, but our list included Tobiano Golf Resort, The Rise, Long Beach Golf Course, Rivershore Golf Links, Swan-e-set Links Course and University Golf Club. Sadly we can only report to having played three of the seven courses we intended to play this past year. The three we did play were Tobiano, Swan-e-set and University Golf Course and we really enjoyed playing each of them for different reasons. However it isn’t all bad news, while we may not have managed to play and have first time experiences at the other courses on our original list we did play a bunch (for us) of golf this summer and revisited a number of great courses we’ve played in the past, including Peace Portal, Fraserview and Morgan Creek to name a few. We also played Northlands, Surrey and Langara golf courses that were not on our list for the first time.
As we don’t play winter golf, we’ll have to wait until next year to have some new, first time B.C. golf experiences, but we are looking forward to playing in our first Long Beach Pro-Am in Tofino next September!
