We know that the professionals will be challenged and that the amateurs will have great fun while at the same time benefiting The First Tee program.”

Players to watch at this year’s event include Bryn Parry, a six time PGA of BC Player of the Year and recently a repeat winner of the Canada Cup. Also in the field will be Canadian Tour Member Ryan Williams, a two time VGT winner in 2012 and Brad Clapp last year’s Vancouver Open runner-up, losing in a playoff to eventual Champion Adam Hadwin. Clapp has won both the PGA of BC Championship and Assistants Championship this year. Also playing in the event is Victoria’s Cory Renfrew, rookie on the Canadian Tour, winner at the Syncrude Boreal Open (Fort McMurray) and runner-up at the Victoria Open. Other notables will include Kevin Stinson, Phil Jonas and Nick Taylor. The event is sure to be one to watch.

Two time defending Champion Adam Hadwin is only likely to return if he can secure a win on the tour and a PGA Tour card before the Vancouver Open.
