What is a Push Notification?
Push notifications are the same (but totally different) than text messages. In the case of text messages the user often initiates the contact. In the case of push notifications the user must allow contact from mobile apps that they have downloaded. Both texts and push notifications arrive on your mobile device via a pop-up message and both have open rates north of 90% (compared to good email open rates of 40%+).

Push notifications are generated by you, the business and with a bit of effort your best customers will have opted in to receive them. It is a fast, cheap way to communicate with your golfers.

Why Use Push Notifications?
A push notification is a message that pops up on a mobile device. App publishers can send them at any time; users don’t have to have the app open or even using their devices to receive them. Push notifications look like text messages and mobile alerts, but they only reach users who have installed your app and have allowed push notifications to be received. In our experience push notifications work well with both iOS and Android devices (which most consumers use).
