Pillars of Internet Marketing
At CK Golf we are still very high on email marketing. You can read a previous post on best practices here. Email still holds the #2 spot on our 5 pillars of internet marketing. If you’ve forgotten there are:

  1. Website (the hub of your content)
  2. Email (click throughs to the hub)
  3. Social (supports #2 in spreading the word)
  4. Mobile App (in most cases almost 50% of B2C interactions are happening here)
  5. E-commerce (still emerging, in golf, but becoming a big player)

Email Marketing Statistics
I was recently reading a blog post by Allen Finn on Wordstream and he had some interesting email marketing stats that I thought I would share here:

  1. Email is the third most influential source of information for B2B audiences, behind only colleague recommendations and industry-specific thought leaders.
  2. 59% of B2B marketers say email is their most effective channel in terms of revenue generation.
  3. Email subscribers are 3x more likely to share content on social media than leads who came through another channel.
  4. 28% of consumers would like to receive promotional emails more than once per week.
  5. The number of email users worldwide is forecasted to rise to 2.9 billion at the end of 2019.

Bonus for you Canadians: 49% of digital marketers indicate that the Canadian Anti-Spam Law (CASL) has had no discernible impact on their company’s email marketing program.
