What is Customer Relationship Management?
Customer Relationship Management or CRM as it is most often referred is defined by Wikipedia as an approach to manage a company’s interaction with current and potential customers. It uses data about customers’ history with a company to improve business relationships with customers, specifically focusing on customer retention and ultimately driving sales growth.
Why Do You Need a CRM?
Using a CRM is the most effective way to track all the conversations your company has with your current and potential customers. It should include every one of your communication channels such as your website, newsletters, social media and phone calls.
How Much Does a CRM System Cost?
Prices will very from system to system and we have no recommended preferences. If you Google CRM Systems you will find a long, long list of options from monthly to annual subscriptions. At CK Golf we simply built a functional CRM using an Excel spreadsheet to monitor our communications. Golf courses (our customers) are put into our CRM (which we also treat as our sales funnel). Depending where you are in the funnel depends on the communication you will receive from us. It is an effective way for us to keep track of all of our potential customers.
If you have a sales and marketing person or team at your golf course we highly recommend you investigate the power of what a CRM system can do to improve your business. Any questions about CRM’s or to improve your sales strategy, give Jeff a call at 604-506-2226.
We, Jeff and Tara Ciecko of CK Golf write two blogs, one is our 19th Hole Blog where we share personal experiences and the other an Industry Blog where we comment on general business and internet marketing best practices, sales strategies and give golf industry related opinions. We have owned CK Golf for 12 years and provide business services to the golf and other industries. As of July 31, 2016 our life and our business became ‘location independent’. Our 19th Hole Blog is about the places we visit and the things we do. If you have any questions or comments, or happen to be in the same location as us please reach out and contact us anytime.
